10 Ways to Take Back Your Sanity

10 Ways to Take Back Your Sanity

  1. Eat at least 2 highly nutritious meals daily
The best medicine you can give to yourself is large doses of good, high quality food.  So a good meal would include lots of clean, organic vegetables, some grains maybe, and protein from a source that carries high vibrations.  We have to remember that if every thing is energy then the food that we eat can either trigger our bodies to die or regenerate.

Many people say that breakfast is the best meal of the day so high nutrition could look like fruit, oatmeal, whole grain toast, farm raised eggs, cold cereal with hemp or almond milk, or maybe just a smoothie. Keep it light and healthy!

  1. Do some form of physical activity everyday
Even if you just walk around your block a couple of times each day this can give you enough connection to your life source to say to the Uni – Verse that you value the vehicle that you are in and the time that have been given to use it.

If we keep laying around acting as though our bodies don’t matter, pretty soon they get the message and dissipate just like everything else that we treat in that way.

  1. Avoid the Social Networking Traps
Allocate only 2 – 3 hours daily for social networking, that is,  if you aren't using it for business.  The reason this is a trap is because it has you spend a majority of time with people who will use a large amount of your energy and time feeding off of you and not providing anything in return.

It will also take time away from you when you could be spending face time with people who matter to you in real life.  You may want to also consider that you could be using social networks as a means to avoid the true work you need to do on the growth and development of yourself.

  1. Read a book that heals you
Have you ever won an argument with a book?  This may sound like a silly question, however if you think about it some books can really make you angry enough that you want to raise your voice at it in rebuttal (hmmm, or am I the only one that does that?). However, even if you did, it doesn’t matter because the words you are reading cannot be taken back.  They can’t even hear you.  This is why I suggest such books, because they have the potential to make you rethink your current patterns and concepts and possibly expand you into a new horizon of possibilities.  I will list of few of my favorites for you to consider.

·      The Road Less Traveled by M. Scott Peck

·      Patiently Waiting for Nothing by Mu Shemsu-t

·      The People of The Lie by M. Scott Peck

·      You Can Heal Your Life by Louise Hay

·      The Power of Your Subconscious Mind by Joseph Murphy

  1. Allocate only 1 – 2 hours of television or None at all if you can.
There are so many things I can say about the hazards of television that it’s going to be hard for me to fit it into this paragraph.  Let me start by saying that the frequencies that are emitted from the television are designed to lull you into  a alpha/theta state of mind which is mainly used for programming.

When we fall asleep in front of the television we are leaving our minds exposed.  Commercials are designed in a certain rhythm and frequency for the purpose of directing your choices and spending habits.  Please unhook your family from this dangerous device.

  1. Write a letter, Send a card, Write in a journal or Write a book
There is something about using your hands to create and since most of us are not poets, or painters, or sculptors, the simplest way to stimulate creativity is through writing a note or letter to someone that will inspire their own love or creativity.  In doing this you signal to your right brain, which is your center of creativity, that you are in the mode of birthing (bringing something to life).  This very activity will trigger a new form of communication between your body and your brain.  When you write, or use your hands to output on a regular basis, you open up to the power of generating even larger expressions of communication that will inspire and heal others.  Try it and see for yourself.

  1. Sit in silence
Did you know that you are the most important person in “your” Uni-verse?  And if you then put that with the biblical statement, “Self-preservation is the FIRST law of nature", it would make you wonder why so many of us don’t take time to get to know ourselves.

The most powerful gift you can give to yourself is silence.

Have you ever been still and quiet, alone for no reason at all?  You would be surprised how afraid you are of your own thoughts.  Just be still and see what you are thinking about.  Notice what level of patience it takes for you to just be still.  See if you can sit in silence with yourself undisturbed doing absolutely nothing for at 15 minutes daily. You will be amazed at how interesting you truly are.

  1. Spend time getting to know the people around you
It’s amazing that very few people that call themselves friends have seldom taken time to get to know the people in their circle.  People talk about themselves all the time yet rarely do they take interests in the other person.  When we take time to deepen our connection with others we actually begin to recognize our own authentic power and truth, because we can see the power and truth in the people we have close to us.

However, if you don’t get to know them, you also are missing the opportunity to discover what is unique and wonderful about yourself.  Take your masks off and help your loved ones do the same.

  1. Take care of plants, pets, or a garden if you don’t have children.

Many of us don’t realize that we have a part of us that is likened to that of the Uni-verse, in that we are here to create, nurture and grow.  There are times in our life when we may find that much of our waking hours are spent in the cultivation of our own spirit, therefore we may not always be in the company of others.  May I suggest that you take on caring for and nurturing a plant to start.

Keeping plants alive require your patience, attention and care. When you can keep plants vibrant, it’s a strong indication that you are able to sustain the life of another as well.  You can also look to see how you nurture and care for those around you to better understand the flow of your spiritual essence.  Many people have only adapted to the duty of relationships and very few have gone deeper into the expansive qualities of caring for another’s soul. Just start with a plant for now and allow yourself to expand into the awareness of cultivation.

  1. Get out in nature and breath the outside air.

The energy of Mother Earth is full of life and healing properties. There is so much abundance and nurturing available just in being outside, taking in the colors and sounds of nature.  Is there a park near you home?  Do you live close to a body of water?  Do you know where the secret exotic energy points are in the city that you live in?

There is so much to experience through our senses and these processes will take us deeper into an appreciation and amazement of ourselves.  Take time on a regular basis to bask in the artistic beauty of outdoors.  Connecting with the Earth charges your charkas and stimulates your creativity.  Visit a Forest Preserve near you.
